A. L. Pickens Co., Inc. was founded in 1960 by Arthur L. Pickens as an electrical manufacturer's representative firm.  Art had the vision to recognize the opportunity to establish an entrepreneurial business enterprise in his home state of Kentucky.  With his two young daughters & wife he moved from Colorado to Louisville and created his dream of controlling his own destiny.

Over the years others such as Art's daughter Jane Booker, Sam Booker and Bill Thompson have continued the standards and ideals Art created almost 60 years ago.
